Thor's definitely powerful, but Iron Man's been known to hold his own with him before - plus, Iron Man is the director of SHIELD and has spent the last year confronting his one time friends, with it turning hostile and confrontational nearly every time. I think writing Iron Man in such a way that he just walks into the fight without backup or special precautions was kind of sloppy.
Also, his spirit was broken pretty easily, it seemed. This is the guy who's machinations have resulted in the death of Captain America without slowing him down a bit. Yet Thor kicks him around and yells at him and he slinks off with his tail between his legs and mopes in his apartment?

The Katrina referencing was pretty heavy-handed, but I don't think it took away from the story. I thought the battle between Iron Man and Thor was handled great, more satisfying then the two - three frame beat downs we've seen in the World War Hulk limited series. This battle, though short, took just the right amount it should have. Thor is a god, with the power of the atmosphere at his disposal. A guy in hi-tech armor isn't a real challenge for someone with all the power at Thor's disposal. I'm also glad we're starting to see the rest of the Asgardians beginning to filter in. Big thumbs up for me on this issue.

This book... this book could have/should have really been awesome. Thor beating down on Iron Man as drawn by Olivier Coipel. That should have rocked. And, to Coipel's credits, the few pages he was given to actually show the fight were beautiful.
The rest, though... the attempts to address hurricane Katrina, the anti-climax of the fight, Iron Man's characterization. All of these things were pretty disapointing.
