You were wowed by the first two issues of this comic. But wait until you read issue three. Mark Millar (Civil War) and John Romita Jr (World War Hulk) only up the odds here and the pace is breathtaking. I read it weeks ago and I'm still having nightmares. Never have I seen such sickening violence sold to readers in the name of entertainment. If it wasn't selling so well we'd have to stop publishing this monster. Follow Dave's journey from zero to hero as he becomes a youtube celebrity. He sure kicked the ass of those drop-outs, didn't he? Join us this issue where he inspires others to dress up and hurt people.

(cont. from previous) /Samurai Executioner sword work ('Incredible cutting edge! Magnificent technique!') but hyper-speed battojutsu belongs in those Manga, and not the real world that Kick Ass is set in. Would have made much truer to the orginal pitch to have the scene use a handgun instead.

Not sure if it should be classified as 'jumping the shark' , since with this issue it got *less* commercial - but the final scene removes any shred of this being a realistic guess at how a superhero-inspired vigilante could exist in our world. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with some Lone Wolf

It was originally going to be a mini-series, but Millar had so many ideas for it that he decided to turn it into an ongoing.

Does anyone know if this series is an ongoing or a mini?
