If you were to go back to the beginning of this series and read up until this issue you would be able to see the progression of Matt Fraction as a writer. This book truly is the best issue so far in the series and cements Fraction as writer who... well it's the book that people will look back on and say, "I knew he was going to be great..." Aja delivers the miracle that is his art to the book, making it just as great visually.
In this issue Rand narrates his day to day life explaining to the reader everything that he truly does, but hopefully by the end of the issue you'll understand that he's not narrating his life so you'll understand it, no it's so that he understands it himself. As good as the book is what truly makes it great is the ending. After pulling you through page after page Fraction drops a bomb on you at the end and frankly leaves you with no resolution or closer for the issue. It blindsides you just as you get the book figured out and leaves you sitting on the edge of your chair.
