This issue didn't deliver everything I'd hoped, though I've learned that when Bendis writes something, it doesn't always make sense until the end. The return of Venom and the backstory on what he's been through felt natural. Some people will say that it was all flashbacks, like the Hobgoblin Arc had started, and complain about that. But I think understanding the characters is more important than any amount of fist-to-face action.
