Two nights ago, I sat down and opened my new copy of Secret Invasion 3. This summer, as it has gone thus far, has been owned by Marvel. After the disappointing Final Crisis 1 release, I, a DC fan, was highly anticipating Secret Invasion. And...I was blown away! This issue raises so many questions about Civil War and the whole status of the Marvel Universe! Is Tony Stark a skrull warrior? Was the Captain America who was assassinated also a skrull? If so, then where are the true heroes? And, what does Nick Fury have to do with all of this? Amazing!!! Therefore, I cannot wait for #4 next month to see if my questions are answered.
I must also state that after reading this issue one time, I went back through it and tried to see of I had missed anything important. While I had not, I did notice on the full page spread of the Young Avengers in Times Square (pg 8-9), there is a Stephen Colbert billboard. I just thought that was a little funny...I wonder if there was anything else like that in prior issues?
Secret Invasion has me captivated for now...As a DC fan, I can only hope that Grant Morrison can get his act together and deliver the goods like Brian Michael Bendis has...

I am loving this, but I'm a little disappointed at how heavily the evidence has been pointing at Spider-Woman throughout the whole of this series (and some NA too). I thought that a writer of Bendis's talent would have either been much more subtle, or have been misdirecting us all along. It is just a bit too obvious. Still, I applaud the fact that a major character has been outed and I hope to hell they won't get retconned back onto the team somehow.
