After a short departure to allow for Denny O'Neil's story, I was glad to see the team of Paul Dini and Dustin Nguyen return to Detective Comics. This story picks up right where the "Heart of Hush"story line concluded. Hush has been defeated physically by Batman, and every cent in the Elliot fortune has been gathered by Catwoman. So, what do you do if you're in such a position?
Oh yeah, you remember that you look exactly like Bruce Wayne, so you use his face to get some cash back in hand and to allow yourself time to heal while traveling the world and stealing money from Wanye's international assets.
Honestly, I spent the entire issue anxiously waiting to see if he would indeed get caught, or if he would seek to empty Wayne of all his cash. Then, in the end, we see that Catwoman is still on Hush's trail, and that Tommy Elliot will once again be broken. In the conclusion to this story, released in this month's issue of Batman, we might finally, and I do mean finally, see the end of Hush.
This was a great story, and I look forward to more from Dini and Nguyen.
