Marvel Comics for the iPhone

Friday October 30, 2009 12:01:00 am
comiXology is proud to present Marvel comics on the iPhone, in our free Comics by comiXology application. Today we have released 71 Marvel comics in the following series:
Dream-team creators Joss Whedon (creator of TV's Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Firefly and fan-favorite film Serenity) and John Cassaday (Planetary, Captain America) bring you the explosive #1 issue of the all-new flagship X-Men series! As part of X-men: Reload, this issue marks a return to classic greatness and the beginning of a brand-new era for the X-Men.
It's a new beginning as four time Eisner-nominated Best Writer Ed Brubaker makes his Marvel debut, joined by white-hot artist Steve Epting! In just this first issue, the Red Skull lays the groundwork for his most devastating attack ever on Captain America and the land he holds dear...and with the Cosmic Cube in his possession, how can Cap hope to stop him?
Torn from the pages of Ultimate Fantastic Four! On an Earth shockingly similar to the Marvel Universe's, an alien virus has mutated all of the world's greatest super heroes into flesh-eating monsters! It took them only hours to destroy life as we know it... but what happens when they run out of humans to eat?!? Follow their search for more food... and witness the arrival of the Silver Surfer!
Now it can be told. The full story behind the origin of X-23; who she is, where she came from, and the exact nature of her relationship to Wolverine. You think you know, but you have no idea. Pick up the mini-series today!
Apocalypse has been destroyed; the end of the world has been averted. Or has it? Sinister has just unleashed a massive force unseen, unrivaled, and unbeatable. Magneto and the X-Men's only hope lies in tracking down a retired Weapon X!

I agree with the others saying, "We need this available outside the US". Also, make Dark Horse available too and maybe some more manga titles. I love the app, but just very limited.

I bought the Marvel Zombies, I can not read it. Why? In Japan, how can you sell? I'm a comic fan.

It was awesome when Civil War worked, then stopped working a day later. I hope this gets fixed as soon as possible though.
In the future will there be a delay between the US release date and Australian release date? If so, I'll just stick to reading the real thing and using other not-so-legit comic readers.

Sorry, we don't record IP addresses from the app to use in mailings. Also sorry for the bait and switch. :
