"Blue Beetle" was a steaming pile of Hispandering. I'm glad it's gone.

"Hispandering".
What a lovely phrase. And accurate, too.
Wouldn't want those dirty Mananas to actually get off of their lawnmowers and enjoy a comic book, would we? I don't pay them to sit around reading!

All that nonsense aside, I do agree that DC's marketing decisions are EXTREMELY poor. Canceling Blue Beetle the moment he gets on a TV show is bad enough, but putting both Batman and Detective Comics on hiatus around the same time the DVD of "The Dark Knight" will be coming out and axing Robin, Nightwing and BoP officially leaves DC without a Batman franchise with the exception of Battle Of The Cowl, and nobody outside of current fandom is going to know what kind of significance that has.
Add into that Superman's current triangle system, which I'm sure isn't doing anyone any favors when it comes to accesabiliy, LoS being cancelled the VERY SAME MONTH the Smallville episode featuring them is airing, Green Lantern currently so far steeped in it's own mythos that anyone who didn't catch it at the beginning of the Sinestro Corps War a year and a half ago will be absolutely lost, and Final Crisis completely rickety future and absolutely unprofessional handling across the board...I can't remember a time where DC has been this unfriendly to both longtime fans AND new readers.

Aahhh, Tucker Stone. The only man in the world who can somehow seperate the act of selling from the act of "...how to get people interested in something..." You would think this man was university educated or something.
Cutting through all that useless twaddle, I can some up everything Stone has said in a few short words. DC has their collective head up their butt.
TA-DA!
Words should be used to say something, not fill space.

In response to rmoonyose
Hey, check it out, I can summarize "Beloved":
It's a book about a slave woman in America who's baby is a ghost.
Oh, and here's Hamlet:
He's sad, and they die.
And check it, check it, I can do rmoonyose too:
I do not understand the point of columns, or writing.
WOW!

It was really fun up until the change up of the creative team. When I learned it was going to be issues oriented, I figured it was time to bail. Skimming over the last issue at the shop, I think I was right one the money. Addle-brained and heavy handed. The fun was sucked right out of the whole thing.
