While Gina and her family struggle to find a way to rescue Britanny from quasi-space, Britanny, Crescens and Ancient Gina reach the next "Way Station" along the path of their journey. The station's medical center looks the same as the room Brit's daughter Tifanny was born in, but while it makes Brit' nostalgic, her sister can't seem to remember details about the event. Brit's unease grows into a horrifying thought: Perhaps Ancient Gina can't remember Tif's birth...because she wasn't there!
