While many have 'awakened' within the fenced in city of Park Falls, many more have gathered outside the walls, simply staring in at those that are left. As Derrick faces his past for the final time, town crazy Cynthia Ford snaps and opens the gate to the 'awakened' gathered there. The few that are left must face the hoard and close the fence to maintain what little security they have, though not everybody will survive.
