As Red's struggle within forces her to set upon the daunting task to kill De'Grey, a reluctant Bjor vows to protect her and, in an uncomforting nod, agree's to join 'Little Red' in her spiteful quest. More is revealed of Bjor's past as well as the rescue of a nine year old Red while returning to find her homeland but a crumbled shell of the land it once was, having slipped further into gaping despair.
